The NCAA on Wednesday supported a new postseason football bowl game in Houston beginning next season.
It will supplant the previous Houston Bowl and is the fifth new game supported by the NCAA Postseason Football Authorizing Subcommittee since the finish of last season.
The bowl, which has not yet been named, will be overseen by Solitary Star Sports and Diversion, which is subsidiary with the Houston Texans of the NFL.
The name of the new bowl and different subtleties will be declared later. In April, the NCAA endorsed a fifth Bowl Title Series game, which will be played in Glendale, Arizona, alongside the Global Bowl in Toronto, the Birmingham Bowl and the New Mexico Bowl.
